There was a groundbreaking ceremony held on Tuesday this week. Sussex County Emergency Medical Services broke ground on the future home of Paramedic Station 102 in Laurel. The building, located at 11111 Sycamore Road, is specifically built as an EMS Station.
From the press release:
Members of the Sussex County Council, along with the leadership of the EMS Department, attended the ceremony. County Administrator David Baker said, “The County Council and I commend the EMS and Engineering Departments for their quick and diligent work to start this very important project, one that promises both public safety and environmental benefits with ease of access to the U.S. 13 corridor and the use of “green” technology.”
Medic 102 serves Laurel, Gumboro, Delmar, and Blades.
