The Tax Day Tea Parties in Delaware are coming together! State coordinator Chris Shirey reported:

I am thrilled to send this update! We now have almost final approval to hold a Tax Day Tea Party in Georgetown, Laurel, and Dover. I am still working on Wilmington. I am also thrilled to announce that we will be holding a food drive at each of these parties. The need for food has been increasing at a terrifying rate! This is our opportunity to show government that We The People, can recognize a problem and provide a solution faster and better than the government, and we will not require a contract, increased taxes or need a million dollar bonus. The Tax Day Tea Party is history in the making. The only other event in history that can be compared is the Boston Tea Party. This will be the largest gathering of citizens voicing their opinions ever in the history of our country. We also want it to be the largest food drive ever in history. Please don’t bring a can, bring a box! Your neighbor needs it.

The Party in Georgetown will be held at the Circle from noon to 2 pm. Steve Hyle and Donna Gordon are the organizers for this party. The Laurel Party will be in Janosik Park from 4 pm to 7 or 8 pm. I am the organizer for this party as well as State Coordinator. I will get final official approval for this on Monday Night at the Town Council meeting. I will make the official announcement then. The Dover Party will be at Legislative Mall.

I had intended to go to the one in Laurel but since they have made it a food drive also I won’t. Frankly I am tire of every event now days being a food drive.

    Awww, c’mon Howard !

  3. Chris Shirey says:

Oh c’mon Howard. You have to come. Yes, we are collecting food. The food panty in Laurel was cleaned out in two hours this week. Would you prefer Biden to come to Laurel and provide? This is a chance to not only say enough!, but to say we can take care of ourselves. This day in our lives needs people who will step up, who will reach out, and who will shout. I want my Country back! Howard, are you with me?

  4. Chris Shirey says:

We are taking RSVP for attendance on our official website (http://www.delawareteaparty.org/), and I must add that Laurel is getting creamed right now. Come help me out and RSVP!
    Thanks

As soon as details on a Dover site are open to the public please let me know. I have a half dozen other families interested, and I, for one, would love to see a real mob.
