A four-year-old was caught inside a Family Dollar store in Beaumont, TX… at 3:00 in the morning! Apparently the young boy got out of his house, crossed a multi-lane street, found a open door and entered the store. The door had a silent alarm that tripped when he opened the door. When the police arrived the boy was showing off the toys he found. According to the article, the child is staying with extended family while an investigation of the incident is conducted. One has to wonder if he remembered seeing some toys in the store and decided that playing with those toys would be more fun at 3am than sleeping. Well, playing instead of sleeping is the mindset of young children anyway!
Let’s look at this glass half full. The boy knew what he wanted so he went after it. If it’s nurtured, maybe he could grow up and be a great person. Hopefully he won’t be breaking into any more stores.
