It was reported this afternoon that a Laurel High School student was killed in an auto accident. Sixteen-year-old William Nazelrod passed away in an accident on River Road outside of Blades. He was a member of the LHS football team. Another passenger, Greg Williams, passed away as well. Williams was a former LHS student. Two other passengers were injured and taken to Nanticoke Memorial and Christiana Hospital. According to Delaware State Police, excessive speed and wet road conditions were the cause of the accident.

I would encourage everyone to lift up the families of these two young men as they wrestle with this tragedy here at Christmas. In addition, please lift up their friends. It is reported that ministers and counselors will be available at the high school tomorrow for those that need help. May they have good counsel and timely words for each person.

Articles I used for information are from the Sussex Countian, The News Journal, and WGMD.
