Two names being tossed around on the blogs as possible RNC heads: Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich. This is a tough call for me. I like both men.
Michael Steele possess the energy and vision that the RNC could use. He first uttered the words “Drill, baby, drill.” He has ran two races in a Democrat state. He’s got conservative credentials that the GOP needs in leadership. Steele seems to embrace a practical application of Reagan ideas in the 21st century. Plus he likes puppies:
Newt Gingrich has proven he can be a changer. Republican Revolution 2 could be in this blood. Newt has baggage that could hurt the GOP. This time around Newt may better serve everyone by continuing to do what’s he been doing: writing, speaking, and public appearances.
This blogger leans toward Michael Steele.
