Riots?

Doesn’t it scare the crap out of you that some are talking about riots if Barack Obama loses this race? What have we become, a third world country? Is this the legacy of the leftist baby boomers? Will the idea come from the lips of Obama himself?

With all the voter fraud caused by ACORN, doesn’t that cast a shadow over the election results in general, particularly if there is an Obama victory in states where ACORN is being investigated?

In the words of a friend many years ago, “my poor country.”

Are you inferring that black folks will incite riots if Obama doesn’t win, Elbert? Are you saying that Obama will encourage this?

To answer your question, no it doesn’t scare the crap out of me. No, we are not a third world country, but unfortunately, we are a divided country.

I am dismayed that race is playing such a huge role in this election.

  2. Laurel,

There are a number of articles about the possibility of riots, such as here, here, and this post here. James Carville inferred it here.

I would sure hope that Obama would not encourage this type of behavior. In France’s last presidential election, Socialist Party candidate Ségolène Royal threatened it. From Reuters via Jihad Watch:

Socialist opponent Segolene Royal said on Friday that France risks violence and brutality if her opponent right-winger Nicolas Sarkozy wins Sunday’s presidential election.

On the last day of official campaigning, opinion polls showed Sarkozy enjoyed a commanding lead over Royal, who accused the former interior minister of lying and polarizing France.

“Choosing Nicolas Sarkozy would be a dangerous choice,” Royal told RTL radio.

I never said or inferred black folks would incite riots. I said and inferred people may riot if Obama doesn’t win.

We agree on the role of race in the election. The ideas are the things that matter most, not the color of someone’s skin.
