Sunday Thoughts: Doxology

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay him?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

  1. Greg French says:

One of my favorite verses. To add to that, “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him: But we have the mind of Christ”. I Cor 2:16, and “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus..” Phil 2:5 and “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” Jn14: 26 and “in whom (Jesus) are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Col2:3. By this and so many more unspoken verses, we can know that by the gift of God, by one of the gifts that He gives us is His mind. God is Spirit and we can know the mind of God through the Spirit that He has given us. All that He is can and is ours for the taking. His knowledge, His wisdom, and through those two things alone are as you so aptly quoted, are the “depth of the riches” and all things come from that alone. He is giving us the genesis of creation. As children of God we are privy to the creation of all things. Even the angels have not been able to look into some things that we as His children have access to. I think the church fails to see the magnitude of His gift to us. There would be more excitement otherwise. Thanks,…..glad to share. We are told to share all good things with others. Greg
