New Coldplay Music

This was posted on MySpace Monday:

We’re very pleased to announce that Coldplay’s new single, Violet Hill, will be available as a free download exclusively from Coldplay.com for one week starting tomorrow, Tuesday April 29th, at 12.15pm UK time. This is a full week ahead of the single’s conventional paid-for digital release, on Tuesday May 6th.

So, if I’m right, that means the song will be available at 5:15am EDT in the US. I have to wonder how quick their servers tank from the mass of hits. Maybe 5:16am?

The web site has a image which I assume is the cover art for the new album. I would recommend covering that woman up on there. Why do some artists insist on pushing the envelope? Just make great music and leave the nudity out, please.

OK, I’m going to get my free music now…

UPDATE: When I finally had a chance to go to the site, it requested I provide an email address to which they would send download information. The email took about 6 hours to arrive. The file arrived quickly zipped up (.zip file).

Eternally grateful for this link. I did not know…..

  2. That’s cool. I’ve seen other bands do stuff like this. It was nice to actually get in on this one. Let me know what you think of the track. I’m not a big fan but I’ve liked the singles. This song reminds me of Mute Math. If you’re not familiar, they are on MySpace, but then again, everybody is on MySpace…
