Conservative Columnists Have Dinner With Obama
Politico reports tonight that Barack Obama was a guest at columnist George Will’s home along with conservative coloumnists Charles Krauthammer, David Brooks and William Kristol. An Obama spokesman says the dinner was off-the-record. It would have been nice to be a fly on the wall there.
I wonder when Jack Markell will be having dinner with Delaware’s conservative bloggers? Believe me, we will probably be his only critics for the next four years.
UPDATE: Alright, what was the Washington Post’s Michael Shear saying here:
President-elect Barack Obama left his temporary home at the Hay-Adams Hotel at just after 6:15 this evening, arriving about 20 minutes later at Will’s house, valued at $1.9 million.
What did the value of George Will’s house have to do with anything?
With regard to guests present at this dinner, I wondered the same thing as Allahpundit. Was Rush Limbaugh present? Here’s from his newsletter today:
Minnesota’s “Mr. Right,” Jason Lewis of KTLK-FM, guest hosted at the last minute when El Rushbo was called away to a super-secret meeting in Washington D.C.
Maybe more later…
UPDATE AGAIN: Hot Air says Rush was not at the dinner.

If you believe Rush’s website, he was at the Medal of Freedom ceremony today at the White House. Honored were former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Australian Prime Minister John Howard and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.
Looking at the pictures, I think Rush has gained back some weight. He may be the Right’s answer to Oprah in that respect.
Also, I wanted to let you know that while Martin O’Malley has been seen with Joe Albero he’s not been to dinner with Maryland’s conservative bloggers.
But we have more fun without him anyway.
O’Malley doesn’t have the inner fortitude to do anything like that!
