Monday Scattered
Allergies have been a thorn in my flesh since I turned 30. They may have been before that, but they didn’t bother me enough to make the radar. Now I cut the grass and I’m sick for two days. Yes, I’m still miserable. Next time I’ll remember I’ve got three sons that could do it for me.
Toss this into the pile: the van is on the fritz again. A few weeks ago both the van and the truck went down. The truck was easily fixed with a replacement hose. The van required a mechanic soldering a tube on top of the motor, certainly something outside of my realm of knowledge. My wife’s nose discovered our latest van issue: she smelled coolant. We discovered today that a seal or gasket thing on top of our motor needs to be replaced. It also needs a belt replacement. So I’m taking the money I was using to replace the brakes on the van to fix all the other broken stuff.
I’m whining. Deal.
My oldest child decided to treat his parents and siblings to a movie, Prince Caspian. So Sunday afternoon we spent some time sitting together enjoying a good movie. True to what I had heard, the movie is darker than The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. My wife has written about her inspiration from the movie here.
The American Thinker has a thought-provoking article pointing out that the GOP can’t function as Democrat Lite. Although Ed at Hot Air says studies show there’s no such thing as a RINO.
Told you I was scattered.
