Easter Sunrise Service
I participated in a Easter Sunrise service in Delmar sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. Pastor Jim Brown from Delmar Christian Center led the service. According to the weather station at Delmar Middle School, it was 30.4 degrees Fahrenheit at service time. It’s little comfort that it was probably 65 degrees the day Jesus actually rose from the dead. I led two songs, “Up From The Grave” and “He Lives”. At our church hymns are not used on a regular basis, so “Up From The Grave” started off a little rusty. “He Lives” worked just fine due to my better recollection. The crowd was thin, nevertheless, those in attendance remembered Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
